Canaveral National Seashore on Florida's Atlantic Coast- March 2023

I visited the Canaveral National Seashore in March of 2023 on a solo trip. Though I was not traveling with someone in a wheelchair on this adventure, it has become habit to keep an eye out for accessibility issues. I was very impressed by the facilities along Playalinda Beach within the Canaveral National Seashore, and decided to document my discoveries.

My hope is that these videos will help folks visiting Playalinda Beach decide which parking lot and ramp to use when visiting the park.

Map Note:

Playalinda Beach is the south beach. It has 13 parking lots and ramps. (Documented here.) Apollo Beach is the north beach. It has 5 parking lots and ramps. (Not documented.)

Important Note:

The seashore is an ever-changing environment. I recommend calling ahead to learn about ramp or road closures before your trip. The best way to reach someone currently is to call the Apollo Beach Visitor Center at 386-428-3384 and press 0 for the operator. The Visitor Center is staffed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
